People will disappoint you it’s just a fact of life they will make promises that they know they can’t keep I guess to them it sounded like the right thing to say at that moment.
But once someone shows you who they really are then it up to you to expect the truth for what it is and not what you envision it to be.
Everyone won’t honor their word hell they don’t even take stock in what they’re telling you their word are hollow like a straw so why would you trust anything they say to be true sometimes you just have to move forward with your life and accept people for who they are now that doesn’t mean you have to put up with their foolishness.
How someone treat you is totally on them but how you respond to it is totally up to you everyone will not carry the same way that you do so thinking that everyone will honored their word is futile the only thing in life that you can control is yourself and your actions let people be who they are.
